What can I do when I can not connect my internet?
Do not worry, follow these 4 simple steps below!
Step 1 - Check the Connections
- Ensure that your modem and router are plugged into electrical socket (with led display on) and connected to each other
*Some modem and router are 2-in-1.
Step 2- Restart all the equipment
- Turn off your modem and router
- Wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Turn them back on. Give them a few minutes to fully restart and establish connections.
Step 3 -Power Cycle Your Modem and Router (If needed)
If you've already restarted your equipment but still cannot connect, you can try a more thorough process called "power cycling." This involves unplugging the power from both your modem and router, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging them back in.
If all fails - Contact Your Internet Service Provider
If you’ve tried all the methods above without success, it's a good idea to contact your provider. They can check for outages in your area or help diagnose and resolve the issue. Some internet service provides like CHT (中華電信) has English services, but if there are none, feel free to contact your agent!
